Marsha is a femme fatale, an attractive and seductive woman, who ultimately could bring disaster to a man who becomes involved with her.

"The Stone Thread" is a brilliant sci-fi thriller; this story is engrossing, and filled with details. - Review by GoodbooksToday. The Stone Thread: Second Chronicle is a harrowing tale of survival in a post-apocalyptic dystopia. This story will appeal to readers of science fiction, suspenseful thrillers, the writing of Phillip K. Dick. There are many parallels that can be drawn between this world depicted and the real world as it is today. The characters are believable shades of gray, as the argument of what makes good versus evil is analyzed.

Reviewed By Kathryn Bennett for Readers' Favorite This book has a unique story to tell and is not like the others that I have read. This is the second book in the series and, not having read the first, I was lost on some of the concepts. However, J.R. Evangelisti's writing is full of information so I was able to catch up on soon enough on what I was missing. I enjoyed the mystery and, the twists. There were so many things that I did not see coming at all. I am going to go back and read the first book in the series and then read the second again so I can get the full effect!

Four Stars. A fast-paced and sometimes startling novel reads like a gritty noir in a futuristic setting. It keeps you reading to find out what happens next all the way to its end. An interesting premise, one I've never encountered in sci-fi before.

The Stone Thread:Second Chronicle is an apocalyptic thriller that takes place in 3000 AD.After the great war an airtight protective bubble was built where New York City once stood to protect the survivors from the poisonous outside air.An organization named GL(full initials GLGD-Give Life,Give Death) is in control and it is VERY controlling.Everyone must follow the rules or face very severe consequences.The city's only form of nourishment,essence,is provided by GL.Also required for life is a cube,provided by GL,implanted into the abdomen shortly after birth."The cube is life.Without the cube is death.You must have faith in the cube of life." Law enforcement Officer Cryton is assigned by Dr Vericus,an "ancient" in charge of GL,to stop the resistance from obtaining the new encoding for the cube.In his investigations Cryton makes some discoveries about GL,the cube,essence and the resistance.The Stone Thread is very well written,fast paced,lots of action,very detailed and has great characterization.Love the "big reveal" at the end.This is definitely recommended reading.

Crafted so well with apocalyptic intrigue. Imagine if we had to live that way, follow their ways of rules or else. The elite force troops had orders to execute anyone who pose a threat to GL, they need a reason to kill. Exit transporter, inky, ill-defined shadows prowling, patrolled fortress, spectroscopes, aspirator, protective bubble. Now you see where this story is going . Let me tell you I had a great time reading this book because my mind was entertained, so much of everything. Good and evil everywhere who do you trust? I have to laugh because some of the things there might be happening now, aha! The author's writing style weaved an intricate expression of thrilling the reader with words of action.
