Hi! I have not purchased this book but I figured that given the other review on here, I should clarify that the Nutshell series are meant for law students (probably practitioners too). The prior reviewer obviously didn't realize this.

M&A Nutshell

All hail this nutshell. I may be giving this nutshell more credit than its worth, because it saved me on my M&A final. This nutshell gave me everything I needed to know for my take home M&A final. I had 48 hours to basically teach myself M&A and finish the final. I did finish the final and came out with a good grade in the class all thanks to this handy little nutshell, which taught me everything I needed to know. This nutshell is literally just a really condensed version of the textbook by Oesterle, but its good because the nutshell leaves in all the necessary stuff while removing all the fluff from the textbook.

There are some typos in this electronic version which in some case cast doubt on the accuracy of the text. Otherwise, my experience of reading this book is quite satisfactory.

He leido este libro en Ingles, espero la traduccion al Español sea buena. Este es un libro de fantasia pero la idea central (cromatizar a los criminales) me parece excelente, al punto de pensar que si se llegara a implementar en los Estados Unidos seria una buena solucion. El libro te lleva del presente al pasado alternamente pero el personaje principal te lleva a cambiar tu manera de pensar de Juez a Defensor en cada capitulo. Es un libro muy interesante y fuera de lo comun. Vivir en una sociedad de total limitacion, puede llevarte a tomar decisiones que alteraran el rumbo de tu vida. Lo recomiendo altamente para adultos ya que tiene algunas escenas de sexo y una escena de homosexualismo. Disfrutenlo.

I just bought this book as I am a starter (as a 'second career' -being living abroad) in the graphic design world and need/like to learn everything there is (on line) regardig the technical, commercial & aesthetic issues in designing images. I can't compare it with previous books of Alex, but going diagonally through the content on my Kindle I get the impression in advance that this book combines a load motivational advice & insiders knowledge with very practical information (in the chapter Useful Resources). It will be a challenge to read it all and try out for myself in order to gain the reassurance that it is really worthwhile work hard and extend my own audience. In addition to the impressive content of the book itself ( > 1200 horizontal pages on my Kindle version) the guide will lead you to other books and tutorials/website etc (although I didn't manage to receive the free short guide '9 Things Freelancers ...' due to an 'Application order'). This book looks like a basic big step on the way to becoming an Indispensable Illustrator.

About the Author
Dr. Alice Udvari-Solner is a national consultant in education and holds an appointment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction. The graduate and undergraduate courses she teaches on the topic of accommodating diverse learners in general education settings are integral to the elementary, secondary, and special education teacher certification programs. Differentiation, the design of effective curricular adaptations, collaborative team work among educators and paraprofessionals, and systems change toward inclusive education are areas that are central to her research and teaching. Dr. Udvari-Solner recent research has focused on the development of the Universal Design Process for Differentiation – a method used to promote co-planning among educators to design responsive strategies for diverse learners.

Dr. Kluth is an independent scholar and education consultant. Her professional and research interests center on supporting students with autism and significant disabilities in inclusive classrooms and differentiating instruction. She is the author of "You're Going to Love This Kid": Educating Students with Autism in Inclusive Classrooms (2003, Brookes Publishing) and the lead editor of Access to Academics: Critical Approaches to Inclusive Curriculum, Instruction, and Policy (with Doug Biklen & Diana Straut, 2003, Erlbaum Publishing).

A time saving way to engage students in learning!

Joyful Learning is a dream come true for any busy teacher! With quick ideas that are simple to implement, any teacher can utilize this book in lesson planning and implementation. As an educator, these strategies are easy to learn and implement whether you are a high school P.E. teacher, a kindergarten teacher, or a 5th grade science teacher. When I want to motivate and engage my students, I let them choose one of the strategies and they use it to deepen their understanding, work collaboratively, and build community within my classroom. They love it! In fact, since these strategies differentiate for all learners, the entire school will intergrate them into practice next school year from Pre-K to 8th Grade!

Great Book

I just received this book at the "Inclusion Works" conference in Austin, TX. From what I've read so far, there are many techniques that educators can use in the classroom for all students (regular, bilingual, special needs, etc.) I am so pleased to have been able to see Dr. Kluth show some of these techniques at the conference. I look forward to finishing her book and discovering all it has to offer. THANK YOU!

I totally agree with the review whose son was in Afganistan. I was raised in the military, and consider my diseased father a military hero, after fighting in WWII and the Korean war. This woman was only trying to fulfill her self aggrandizing ahem, career?? Who knows. I admire these men, but yes they should be embarrassed by her ass kissing flattery. They should have known better.

Egotistical Nightmare

I was appalled at this drivel of a book. It's clearly the most self serving and egotistical bunch of nonsense I've read in a long time. To be honest I couldn't even finish it. I can't imagine how these high ranking officials allowed them selves to be taken in by a woman whose motivations were obviously shady (we will never know the real players behind her "social ambitions"). The emails included in the book (which are heavily redacted) are written purely to stroke the egos of these Commanders, and are so pathetic and boring that one wonders how these men can be so utterly stupid as to fall for her unintelligent ass kissing....thank goodness they are no longer in positions of power! Read this book if you wish to fall into a deep depression over the state of our military/intelligence leader's pathetic tumble into a honey trap so basic a child could have written the instructions. Excuse me while I vomit.

A VERY interesting read!

As a retired military resident of the Tampa area, as the "scandal" unfolded, I found the stories of "local intrigue" to be quite interesting. It was easy for us locals to be envious of the glamorous lifestyle and social circles in which the Kelleys moved, not to mention their beautiful and impressive home on The Bayshore, one of Tampa's most luxurious areas. And, as a very average-looking, aging female, I will even admit to a healthy dose of jealousy at the attractiveness and youth of Mrs. Kelley.
That said, I was also very aware of media bias and its ability to make villains out of saints and the impeccable timing of all this with the 2012 election, the Benghazi massacre, and other political events. Hmmmmmmmm. Who knows what the REAL story is? It was the perfect storm to divert attention from the "it was a video" stories issued by the Secretary of State.
I was also wondering how it had come about that the Kelleys had become so involved with our highest-level military leaders here. CENTCOM and SOCOM are VERY, VERY important military headquarters.
Additionally, I was eager to hear Mrs. Kelley's side of the story - and I'm SO glad I read this book! She was, I think, quite successful at laying low despite the incredible media attention that swooshed onto her and her family like the fighter planes that used to be based at MacDill. Just as with the media accounts, I have no idea where the truth lies, and I have no doubt we, the public, will never know the real story behind the beheadings of the senior military leaders and others that occurred.
To say this was an interesting read is an understatement, and I applaud Mrs. Kelley's courage in writing this book.
